Continuing Israel trip, 2 weeks ago, SIFTING THROUGH THE BULLDOZED TEMPLE MOUNT OF CENTURIES OLD STUFF AT ARCHIOLOGICAL SITE

We traveled around Israel , and then we went back to Jerusalem. With our tour group, which we were with for a week, we helped sift stuff that was bulldozed and dumped in the garbage, and then salvaged, and here are Isabella and I helping sift through buckets of stuff, to find, glass, pottery, metel, etc... that are then examined, and determined from what period they have come from

Below is a picture of the old city in Jerusalem, and the dome is the Temple mount from
the time of the first and second Temples, from the Old Testament

Tiberias Sea of Galilee

We took a boat ride on the Lake, not really a sea but looks like one, Here we are! Sea Of Galilee

Dancing away!

Intresting People Along The Way

To the left is a man who really left an impression on me, the others who heard his story, and Rabbi Feldman as well,
Like many Israeli's, he had a tremendos story to tell us, when i asked him, how did his mom come to Israel, and he said, my father has a more fasinating story. I am not going to explain all the life threatening details, all the miracles of his survival, his remeeting of his friend who he had survived with on a boat to Israel, his father who had been jailed, and his mother who was pregnant, and was saved in a Christian monastery, as we shed tears with him, as he drove his jeep through the Golan Heights, so close to the border of Syria. He is the one on the left with the dark glasses, who I found out was born the same year as me. 1956

Below is Rabbi Feldman translating the story to the three of us and Isabella in the jeep.
Below, many signed their countries and names in the bunkers, and there is GUATEMALA.

Left is the view of the beautiful Lake Kinneret, or the Sea of Galilee, where Jesus Christ had spent so much time,  this was when we set out to the Golan Heights, it is so close, and they want to take it away?  Below is a sign of the mines, since it was a combat zone, and could be at any time in the future, we pray not.

We went with our group to Cesaria, where the famous King Herod built a fabulous city.
This is one of the views there

Here is Isabella at the ruins there, taking a rest.
and refreshing with a sip...

Here we are in the Golan Heights, looking out at a real BUNKER!

Israel Picture Update!!

Here is Isabella about two weeks ago enjoying the Mediterranean Sea,
very hot! she loved it!

We went to the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem, before Obama, It was very emotional the first time.
It is customary to write your prayers in a note and put it in the cracks of the wall.

Israel Trip Continued... In a Nutshell

I have not been able to write because I havn't had internet access, and now i don't have my laptop to download pictures but they will be coming soon!
We are here 2 and a half weeks, After Jerusalem, we met our group from West Palm Beach, with Rabbi Feldman. We met in Tel Aviv, and the first day jumped into the meditarranean sea. very hot, warmer than the carribean! We then started to learn about the formation of Israel, and then went to see the magnificant ruins of Cesaria, then Tzfat, and then moved on to Tiberias.
From there we went to the Golan Heights and explored in a jeep ride the views of Syria, and real bunkers, pictures will come. We explored a winery, Ancient grave sites and more, to return to Jerusalem for Shabbat, which we celebrated with Rabbi Feldman.
The tour was quite vigorous,, which ended up with the Dead sea, mineral baths, and black mud packs, and The Holocost Museam.
Then I rented a car, said good bye to the group, and Isabella and I went back to the Dead Sea to enjor the tranquillo atmosphere and waters, and rest up.
Today we drove to Tiberias, The city around the Sea Of Galalee.
i will post pictures soon, i just wanted to catch up
